Since 1958, Ketchum Wagon Days has celebrated the mining heritage of the Wood River Valley with four days of rollicking Old West entertainment including a rodeo, BBQs, live entertainment, antique shows, bareback rider demonstrations, kids carnival and the Big Hitch Parade – this non-motorized parade is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest and features museum quality wagons, buggies, and stagecoaches.

Kamiah BBQ Days77th Annual Kamiah BBQ Days

In 1936, a group of community minded merchants began to offer a free barbeque dinner as a way of saying thank you to area residents for their patronage. The Kamiah Chamber has carried on the tradition of BBQ Days for more than 70 years, organizing and sponsoring nearly every aspect of the Labor Day weekend event. Today, residents, former residents, and visitors take part in BBQ Days – and the event continues to grow each year. Come enjoy fun for the whole family: parade, vendors, kids’ activities, beer garden, auction, music and more!

CDA DC MapDiamond Cup Hydroplane Race in Coeur d’Alene
August 31-September 1

The Diamond Cup and H1 Unlimited Hydroplane racing return to Lake Coeur d’Alene! Drivers and teams from all over the country will be battling for the National High Point Championship on one of the fastest race courses H1 has to offer.  The racers will compete on Lake Coeur d’Alene, with best viewing from Lakeshore Drive in the Silver Beach area.  Enticing treats and race memorabilia will be available for sale, and ticket holders will have access to the pits, where unlimited class and vintage class boats will be on display.  Bring the family to this thrilling summer favorite.

August 31-September 1

This horse competition brings people from all over the United States and the world to compete and watch these events.  Admission to the ICHA Futurity & Aged Event and Mercuria World Series, an internationally renowned show, and the Taste of Idaho Adventures events is free.

The Evolution of Horsepower in transportation is on display at the Idaho Center Amphitheater August 31. From the one-horsepower cutting horse event, to the 22-horsepower vehicles of the 1900’s, all the way up to the 600+ horsepower luxury vehicles that we depend on today.  See cars and bikes from the past and present.

–Idaho Sanctioned International Chili Society Cook-Off
    August 31, 2013 –8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Idaho is celebrating its 5th year hosting this cook-off, with winners moving on to compete at the World Champion Chili Cook Off in Palm Springs in October. The bravest chili connoisseurs, competition divisions include Red Chili, Chili Verde, Salsa, and Home-style, as well as the popular People’s choice award.

    September 1, 11:00-2:00pm, Idaho Horse Park.
Bring a donation of a new toy and tour the armed forces service vehicles and a tank! All proceeds from the BBQ go to support Toys for Tots and the Nampa Fire Department Charity Funds.

Scheweitzer Fall FestSchweitzer Mountain Fall Fest in Sandpoint
August 31-September 2

Schweitzer is celebrating the 21st anniversary of Fall Fest with three days of great fun, great music and great beer! The event serves up regional wines, hard ciders and over 40 beers on tap! The kids will enjoy the soda tent where they can mix their own flavors and create wild concoctions.  Visit arts and crafts vendors in the village, listen to live music and of course, the ever-popular souvenir mugs, glasses and steins will be on sale all weekend. The chairlift will be open for sightseeing, hiking and mountain biking to celebrate Schweitzer’s final weekend of summer operations.
